Painter Turns Tree Holes into Works of Art

In the city of Shijiazhuang, China, an artist has brought smiles to pedestrians painting trees bored holes and turn them into works of art. Since February, more than eleven trunks of street trees in Jiuzhong became the canvas for aspiring art student of 23, Wang Yue.

Each piece takes Wang about two hours to complete. The local environmental protection approved the work and has publicly stated that the paint used does not harm the tree and finally wash over time.

Yue Wang's works have received many compliments in the Chinese media. The color grade was well received by the citizens of Shijiazhuang, a city of over ten million people, known for having one of the worst air pollution levels in the world.
